I am going to “open another window here”
In what I am going to describe as a “Virtual Dream” one night in Denver after consuming some “Dream Assistance” the permeable layer between mind, dream, reality, and the algorithm’s fluidity became increasingly apparent. My friend Hattie declared “We have been scrombled for real” (figure 1) then we watched a drama unfold where I became the judge and jury of an insect’s life. All of this was simultaneously uploaded to the cloud.
If this doesn’t make sense let me give you an example: one night in Denver I looked up a Youtube video to show a friend and then we were sent an angelic message via Youtube suggestion under the category “DIY Mousetraps.” If we were in my house I would have taken this as a message that I needed to look into a mouse infestation in my house but we were in airbnb in Denver on our way to Utah so this had to be of suspicious origin. Perhaps it was suggesting more so “a mouse trap of the mind.” Being sensitive to lactose one of the symptoms of being scrombled is highly disconcerting- big jug hot cheese.
Though the treatment is just dont worry about it it’s fine, I couldn’t help fear the progression of the dis-ease. The DIY Mousetrap video was gruesome, mice drowning in oil while fighting for their lives. We thought the oil trap was inhumane so we didn't set it.
Later my IPhone was stolen by the late Robert Smithson at the infamous Spiral Jetty. Seth, a non-physical entity, described coordinate points where multiple timelines converge and manifesting thought into matter is easier. So, perhaps we had been scrombled for real.
Before that we were warned not to go after dark
Before that we were named junior rangers by a park ranger while a man from AAA filmed us
Before that we ran out of gas in the desert.
Before that we for sure thought we had enough gas.
Before that we were running late.
Before that we were driving through a Mormon town
I for sure thought something bad was going to happen and then it did.
Don't worry this story had nothing to do with oil based mouse traps
